Confessions Scholarships
This page contains information about obtaining a scholarship for the June-July 2007, Confessions of a Record Producer Workshop at Mt. St. Mary’s College in Los Angeles.
As a way of helping those who are saving their money for demos and instrument repair, the Confessions Scholarship Raffle was assembled. A sponsor has donated money earmarked specifically to be used as tuition for several lucky applicants.
We are deciding who gets the money with our tried-and-true, although rather low-tech method of a raffle. The names are put into a hat after they are qualified and then chosen at random.
Awards are to be distributed as follows:
- 3 First prizes of a full scholarship (Valued at $290)
- 3 Second prizes of a “matching funds” scholarship, where the applicant pays about half and the fund pays the balance.
Simple enough.
The drawing will be held on Sunday June 24th, 2007 and you will be notified immediately if you have won. If you are not chosen you will still have a chance to sign up at today’s rate which is $225.

But please… we’ve run into problems in the past with people winning and then declining the gift due to a conflict on the dates. So, please check the dates June 30 –July 1 (Saturday & Sunday) and be SURE that you can attend if you are chosen.
First Commonly Asked Question: If I already bought a ticket at regular price, can I enter and if I win get a discount? Answer: Yes, if you paid $225 or more. But not if you already bought in at Early Bird for $190. You’ve already received one discount.
Second Commonly Asked Question: If I already went to the workshop on a discounted ticket can I enter and win again? Answer: no.
Third Commonly Asked Question: If I’m a lawyer and I want the CLE credit can I get it if I win the raffle? Answer: No. In fact if you are a lawyer and you’re looking for a freebee try something else. Please don’t shave the odds for the artists who’ve entered.
